Piano Players from North Carolina

There are some very famous piano players from NC. Thelonious Monk and Nina Simone are two that were exceptional players born in North Carolina. John Coltrane even used a piano to compose a lot of his music.

It is pretty wild that some of the best musicians ever to have lived were born in North Carolina. There are many more of course. If you haven’t checked out any of their music or life history, please do. Your ears and mind will be very thankful.
