North Carolina Mountains – Carolina Blind Crafters

North Carolina Mountains

Now that it is getting hot, you may be looking for ways to cool off. Perhaps you are thinking of checking out some of the mountains in North Carolina. We’ve got many of them. Including the highest mountain East of the Mississippi River. Mount Mitchell is 6,684 feet above sea level to be the highest peak in North Carolina. It is called Attakulla by the Cherokee. It’s located close to the middle of Burnsville and Black Mountain, NC.

The high temps are lower out there and you get some glorious views. North Carolina has 6 mountains that measure above 6,500 feet above sea level. The Black Mountains and Great Smoky Mountains have plenty of high elevations to try to cool you off.

Are you thinking of renting a cabin and cooling off this Summer? Do you have a favorite mountain or mountainous area you like to visit? We love western NC and the good times that happen there.
