COVID-19 Update – Carolina Blind Crafters

COVID-19 Update

As most people are doing, we are keeping up to date with the COVID-19 (the novel coronavirus) virus and how it relates to our daily routines. As a business that deals with customers in their homes we are well aware of how important health and cleanliness are to everyone.

As of now, we are currently operating under normal conditions. If you need to have blinds, shades, or shutters installed during this time we are available. Since we often install these around a minimum amount of people, we are able to currently continue as long we take precautions to minimize interactions with others. We have advised our employees to keep a distance of at least 6 feet between them and any of our customers they interact with.

We do ask that anyone notify us if they show any type of illness so that we can reschedule for a time in the future when we are all healthy. Any of our employees that are showing any type of illness will not go into your home so we can attempt to minimize any spread of this virus.

If you want to postpone any existing appointment until after you feel more comfortable with having us enter your home, please contact us and let us know. We will be here for you when there is less of a threat of this virus and you feel comfortable having us in your home.

We are keeping up to date with the CDC recommendations of cleanliness during this time as well. We are following these guidelines and hope you are as well. Check the CDC website for the latest updates to ensure the health and safety of you and your loved ones:

  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Put distance between yourself and others. 6 feet is the recommended minimum distance
  • Wear a face mask if you are sick. A cloth face mask is now recommended by anyone going out interacting with others. Face masks are currently in short supply all over.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily.
